Features
THE boot for classic ski touring: The lightweight Radical Pro combines top-notch downhill performance with efficiency and comfort.
Uphill-focused or downhill-focused? With the new Radical Pro, there's no "either/or." The latest generation of this all-rounder combines proven strengths with technical innovations for maximum performance in any terrain. The revolutionary Hoji Lock system connects cuff and shell in downhill mode into a stable unit without backlash for direct power transfer, while allowing a natural walking movement with 60° cuff rotation in walk mode. Clever: Buckles and Ultra Lock Strap are linked to the ski-walk mechanism via a cable system. Just flip the lever and the system is put under tension. The new Flex Tongue provides progressive flex and precise skiing feel while noticeably reducing resistance on the ascent. For a firm yet comfortable fit, the new instep buckle can be precisely adjusted even with gloves using the ratchet system. The Vibram sole with Traction Lugs ensures optimal grip during bootpacking sections, while the thermoformable liner offers a perfect fit. The newly integrated boot board enables more precise, individual boot fitting.
- Driving Spoiler 2.0: The rear spoiler (patent pending) slides inside the cuff, allowing the widest and smoothest cuff rotation possible. Once the Ultra-Lock system is closed, it becomes locked with the cuff, building a super-stiff downhill structure. It also alleviates friction between the cuff and inner liner, which keeps the heel in place for better walk-ability and no blisters. The metal spoiler insert allows the user to adjust forward lean by simply removing or reassembling two fastening Torx screws.
- Hoji Lock.
- Quick Step In: The patented Quick-Step-In inserts provide 70% easier step-in to Dynafit bindings.
- Vibram Traction Lugs.
- Ultra Lock Strap.
- Buckle Microregulation.
- Flex-Tongue with Pebax for improved walkability
- UNI EN ISO 9523.

AI FAQs
AI generated FAQs about the W Radical Pro Boot
Are these boots narrow, wide, or standard in the forefoot?
These boots have a wide forefoot fit, with a 102 mm+ last. That extra width is intended to provide a roomier platform than a narrow-volume touring boot.
Can I adjust how snug these boots fit around my ankle and calf?
The ratchet-adjustable instep buckle provides microregulation for a firm, comfortable fit, even while you are wearing gloves. The Ultra Lock Strap and three-buckle layout work with the ski-walk mechanism to tension the boot for downhill skiing.
Can I walk comfortably in these boots, or are they stiff?
These boots offer 60° of cuff rotation in walk mode for a natural walking movement. The Pebax Flex Tongue reduces resistance on the ascent, while the Hoji Lock creates a stiff structure when you switch to downhill mode.
Do these boots have good ankle support, or will my feet roll around?
The Hoji Lock joins the cuff and shell into a stable, backlash-free downhill unit for direct power transfer. Its Driving Spoiler 2.0 helps keep your heel in place and reduces friction with the liner during touring movement.
What kind of binding system do these boots use?
These boots use tech binding compatibility and include Quick-Step-In tech inserts. The inserts are designed for easier step-in to Dynafit bindings, making them purpose-built for alpine touring setups rather than standard alpine binding systems.
Will these boots support aggressive skiing, or are they better for casual runs?
These boots pair a 110 flex with the Hoji Lock system to create a stiff, direct downhill structure. They are built for classic ski touring and all-mountain backcountry skiing, balancing uphill efficiency with strong downhill performance.
How much feedback and control will these boots give me?
The Hoji Lock system delivers direct power transfer by locking the cuff and shell together without backlash in downhill mode. The progressive Flex Tongue is designed to provide a precise skiing feel while reducing resistance on the ascent.
