Features
A binding that represents the essence of ATK, combining remarkable lightness with extraordinary performance. Elegant in both shape and concept, the Haute Route PLUS is the top binding in the Speed Touring category, the best of our range without a ski brake. Crafted entirely from full aluminum, it weighs just under 220 grams and is the lightest ATK binding with the CAM Release System. In this overview, we will delve into the key features that make the Haute Route PLUS the ultimate choice for Speed Touring enthusiasts.
Toe piece —
- Speed Toe Piece: redesigned to improve downhill performance with its hybrid mounting pattern—narrow at the front holes and wide at the rear. Its ergonomic lever, designed with a specific joint, makes opening, step-out, and closing operations easier. The Speed Toe Piece also includes our Snowpack Proof System, carefully designed to prevent snow and ice from accumulating under the locking mechanism, ensuring it remains safe and easy to operate even on the coldest days with frequent transitions.
- Integrated but removable rampant support.
Heel piece —
Cam Release System: the Haute Route PLUS is the lightest ATK’s binding to feature our signature patented system that contributes to an effortless step-in and grants amazing torsional stiffness.
- Magneto Heel Flaps: two carefully designed heel flaps to provide a higher touring comfort. They can be easily managed with poles thanks to an ingenious combination of two magnets.
- Both lateral and vertical release value are adjustable.
Performing Through Lightness —
Our foundation, our roots. ATK took its first steps in this industry by developing lightweight race bindings, and now, as then, lightness is key to achieving what athletes crave: speed. Therefore, it's easy to understand why “performance through lightness” has been the mantra that has accompanied ATK's growth in its early years.
As our role in the ski mountaineering universe started to evolve, we needed some stabilization because it's easy to lose control during a phase of growth, just as it is easy to get caught up in the events. That's why we decided to keep our roots stable, not changing our approach to the activity, and ultimately not getting in our own way.
In fact, as we expanded our catalogue to include the speed touring, touring, and free touring categories, we remained steadfast in our commitment to enabling an
ever-wider range of ski mountaineers to achieve performance through lightness.
Durability —
Crafted from high-quality materials and engineered to withstand the rigors of backcountry skiing, the Haute Route PLUS offers exceptional durability and reliability. The carefully machined components and thoughtful construction ensure longevity to this tech binding, providing peace of mind during your most demanding adventures.
