Features

ATK's versatile answer to the basic needs of the ski mountaineering prototype. Double heel flaps to comfortably tackle long traverses, improved power transmission thanks to the innovative toe piece. The irresistible aesthetic of ATK's jack-of-all-trades.

Welcome to the world of touring bindings with the Crest 10, ATK's versatile answer to the basic needs of the ski mountaineering prototype. Weighing only 295 grams, it offers a range of lateral and vertical release values from 4 to 10, up to 20 millimeters of length adjustment, and ATK's patented Elastic Response System. Whether you're a rookie or an expert skier, the Crest delivers everything you need for a successful and enjoyable touring experience. Let's explore its key features and why it's a top choice for perceptive adventurers.

Toe Piece

  • Speed Toe Piece: redesigned to improve downhill performance with its hybrid mounting pattern—narrow at the front holes and wide at the rear. Its ergonomic lever, designed with a specific joint, makes opening, step-out, and closing operations easier. The Speed Toe Piece also includes ATK's Snowpack Proof System, carefully designed to prevent snow and ice from accumulating under the locking mechanism, ensuring it remains safe and easy to operate even on the coldest days with frequent transitions.
  • Integrated but removable rampant support.

Heel Piece

  • Elastic Response System: this ensures precise releases and optimal skis performances by facilitating their natural flex, enhancing downhill performances.
  • AP Brake System: available in sizes from 86mm to 102mm. To switch from descent to ascent mode, press the pedal all the way with one hand and rotate the heel piece head 180° with the other hand. Conversely, to switch from ascent to descent mode, simply rotate the heel piece once again.
  • MagnetoHeel Flaps: Two carefully designed heel flaps to provide a higher touring comfort. They can be easily managed with poles thanks to an ingenious combination of two magnets.
  • Up to 20mm of length adjustment.
  • Both lateral and vertical release value are adjustable.

Performing Through Lightness

Our foundation, our roots. ATK took its first steps in this industry by developing lightweight race bindings, and now, as then, lightness is key to achieving what athletes crave: speed. Therefore, it's easy to understand why “performance through lightness” has been the mantra that has accompanied ATK's growth in its early years.

As our role in the ski mountaineering universe started to evolve, we needed some stabilization because it's easy to lose control during a phase of growth, just as it is easy to get caught up in the events. That's why we decided to keep our roots stable, not changing our approach to the activity, and ultimately not getting in our own way.

In fact, as we expanded our catalogue to include the speed touring, touring, and free touring categories, we remained steadfast in our commitment to enabling an ever-wider range of ski mountaineers to achieve performance through lightness.

Crafted from high-quality materials and engineered to withstand the rigors of backcountry skiing, the Crest 10 offers exceptional durability and reliability. How easy is it to switch from climbing uphill to skiing downhill?

To change from ascent to descent mode, rotate the heel piece again; to change from descent to ascent, press the pedal fully with one hand and rotate the heel-piece head 180° with the other. The mode change is handled at the heel piece, while the two MagnetoHeel flaps can be managed with poles.

Will these bindings hold up if I'm skiing hard or in rough terrain?

The Crest 10 uses high-quality materials and carefully machined components engineered to withstand the rigors of backcountry skiing. Its construction is built for durability and reliability through demanding touring use.

Will the weight matter if I'm doing shorter tours versus full-day ski mountaineering?
