Features
The Folkrm Pahto Carbon Ski Poles combine a massive 105 - 140 cm adjustment range with our extended ultra density EVA ergonomic grip, so you can set the length you want while allowing for on the fly pole length adjustments. The oversized 18/16 mm matte 3k carbon shaft runs a larger diameter than the 16/14 mm aluminum Pahto, so it stays stiff and planted when you load it hard on a firm skin track or a committing pole plant. Slide your hand down the grip for the bootpack or a steep side hill, or fully extend the pole for that long flat exit. The reinforced Patrol Plate Top Cap and Powder Baskets double as a scraper for clearing snow off your skis.
- Extended Ultra Density EVA Foam Grip — Folkrm's signature long grip that allows you to comfortably grab your pole in multiple locations for on the fly pole length adjustments. Now in an ultra density EVA, soft for all day comfort and tough enough for hand shears and snow depth checks.
- Grip Length: 64 cm / 25 in
- Toothless Adjustment Clasp — A durable clasp to set and fix the length of your pole. Adjust the tightness of the clasp with a thumbscrew, no tools needed.
- Patrol Plate Top Cap — The reinforced flat edges on both sides of the top cap double as a snow scraper, clear your skis or board without breaking stride. Built to take an impact, whether you're whacking cornices or bashing boo to set a rope line.
- Girth Hitched Straps — Connected by a simple girth hitch, through a hole on the back of the top cap, these adjustable pole straps can easily be removed and attached mid tour.
- High Modulus Carbon Construction — High Modulus carbon provides a stiff platform that provides an efficient energy transfer on each pole plant so you can focus on executing your turn. All in a lightweight form so you don’t have to feel guilty about packing that extra Oreo.
- Tungsten Carbide Tip — Used to strengthen armor on military tanks, tungsten seemed like a durable option for a pole tip. Yes it will hold up in pow and rocks.
- TPU Powder Baskets — Thermoplastic elastomer baskets built with edges designed with enough surface area to keep your poles above the snow when it’s deep but enough flex to not hold you back on the steeps.

AI FAQs
AI generated FAQs about the Pahto Poles Carbon
How do I know if the length is right for my height and skiing style?
These two-piece telescoping poles adjust from 105 to 140 cm. You can set the length you want, shorten your hold on the 64 cm extended grip for bootpacks or sidehills, and fully extend the poles for long flat exits.
Are these poles comfortable to grip for hours on the mountain?
The 64 cm ultra-density EVA foam grip is soft for all-day comfort. Its extended ergonomic shape lets you comfortably hold the pole in multiple locations as terrain and pole-length needs change.
How much do these poles weigh, and will that matter by the end of a long day?
These poles weigh 261 g, or 9.2 oz. Their high-modulus carbon construction is built as a lightweight platform, helping keep carried weight down on long backcountry days.
Do these poles help me plant and turn more confidently?
High-modulus carbon provides a stiff platform for efficient energy transfer with each pole plant. The oversized 18/16 mm shaft is intended to stay stiff and planted when you load it hard on a firm skin track or during a committed plant.
Will these poles help me on steep terrain?
The extended 64 cm EVA grip lets you move your hand down the pole for bootpacks and steep sidehills. The TPU powder baskets have enough flex to avoid holding you back on steeps while providing surface area for deep snow.
How well do these poles hold up to repeated impacts and catches?
The reinforced Patrol Plate top cap is built to take impacts from tasks such as whacking cornices or bashing brush to set a rope line. Its flat reinforced edges also work as a scraper for clearing snow from skis or a board without breaking stride.
Are the baskets the right size for the terrain I ski?
These poles have 10 cm, or 4 in, TPU powder baskets. They are designed with enough surface area to keep poles above the snow in deep conditions while retaining flex for steep terrain.
Should I choose poles with adjustable length, or are fixed poles better for my needs?
These are adjustable two-piece telescoping ski poles with a 105–140 cm range. The toothless clasp lets you fix the selected length and adjust clasp tightness with a thumbscrew, without tools.
