The team at Raide Research went on one too many runs where they sacrificed packing a rain shell so they could run in a belt. So they made the TrailTech UL Shell Anorak, an emergency shell light enough that you'll never have to choose between the two again. Built to enable running further.

It packs down small enough to live in your belt, so it's there the moment a storm rolls in. The 3-layer fabric comes from Japan, built around a 5-micron PU membrane that delivers full waterproof-breathable performance at just 45gsm. It’s the lightest 3-layer shell available.

A two-way chest zip opens into cape mode for quick ventilation or emergency coverage, and laser-perf venting keeps you from overheating when you're moving hard inside it. Every seam is fully welded, the zippers are built to pack down small, and the hood is fully featured for when the weather turns for the worst.

A 5-micron PU membrane built into a Japanese 3-layer fabric delivers a 20k/20k waterproof-breathable rating without the usual weight penalty. Size medium weighs 128g.
