AI FAQs

AI generated FAQs about the M Alpine Start Hoody

Is this cut more relaxed or more fitted through the chest and shoulders?

This hoody has a slim fit. The trim cut is designed for a closer-to-body profile rather than a relaxed fit.

How long is the body — will it cover my waistband when I'm moving around?

The hoody has a drop hem for more coverage under a harness. That added coverage is built for climbing movement while wearing a harness.

Is the hood sized to actually fit over a hat or helmet, or is it more of a style detail?

The adjustable hood is climbing-helmet-compatible. You can use it as functional coverage during climbing rather than as a style-only hood.

Does the fabric stretch enough to move freely when I'm lifting or doing bodyweight exercises?

This hoody uses Schoeller stretch-woven fabric made from 93% nylon and 7% elastane. The stretch-woven construction is suited to the mobility demands of climbing and backcountry skiing.

Can I wear this for outdoor workouts in light rain without getting soaked?

The Schoeller Eco-Repel Bio DWR finish provides water-repellent protection without intentionally added PFAS chemistry. It is suited to light precipitation during climbing and backcountry skiing.

Will the hood stay put when I'm moving fast, or does it flop around?

The hood is adjustable and has an elasticized edge. You can tune the hood fit for climbing or backcountry skiing conditions.

Are the cuffs and hem snug enough to stay in place during exercise?

The cuffs and hem are elasticized. The elasticized finish helps provide a secure fit during climbing and backcountry skiing movement.

Does the inside feel warm and fleece-like, or is it more of a lightweight shell?

This hoody is a lightweight nylon stretch-woven shell, not a fleece-lined layer. At 207 g, it's built to breathe and move with you on climbs and backcountry ski missions rather than trap warmth like a fleece.

Does this read more as sportswear or as a casual everyday hoodie?

This is a men’s climbing and backcountry skiing layer with a helmet-compatible hood and chest pocket. Its technical stretch-woven build reads primarily as mountain sportswear.
