Features
Optimized for packability and quick deployment, the Expedition Compactor Ski Poles feature an aluminum construction, a z-pole design, and the same extended foam grips as the rest of the Expedition line.
Flick Lock locking mechanisms make the length easy to fine-tune, and both a PH3 screwdriver bit and a 1.5mm hex bit are hidden in the shafts for field repairs in a pinch. Extended EVA foam grips, a straight-edge grip scraper, and a tactile rubber “beak” for quick binding adjustments on the skin track all contribute to the simple yet useful feature-set of the newly redesigned Expedition grips. Girth-hitched straps are easy to remove if you choose.

AI FAQs
AI generated FAQs about the Expedition Compactor Ski Poles
How do I know if the length is right for my height and skiing style?
The 125 cm poles adjust from 100–125 cm, and the 135 cm poles adjust from 110–135 cm. FlickLock Pro mechanisms let you fine-tune the length within those ranges for your backcountry touring setup.
Are these poles comfortable to grip for hours on the mountain?
These poles feature extended EVA foam grips for comfortable, all-day hand placement on the mountain. The extended foam area lets you choke up or move your hands lower on steep traverses and transitions without losing grip comfort.
How much do these poles weigh, and will that matter by the end of a long day?
These poles weigh 263 g (0.58 lb) at 125 cm and 266 g (0.59 lb) at 135 cm per pole. That light swing weight helps you conserve energy on long skin tracks and multi-hour tours, so fatigue is less of a factor by the end of the day.
Are these poles repairable if something breaks?
Integrated PH3 screwdriver and 1.5 mm hex bits are stored in the shafts for field repairs in a pinch. The lower shafts are also removable, giving you access to a serviceable pole component.
Do these poles come with different grip or strap options?
These poles have extended EVA foam grips and girth-hitch straps. You can remove the girth-hitch straps quickly if you prefer to tour without them.
Are the baskets the right size for the terrain I ski?
These poles include 100 mm (4 in) powder baskets, sized for deep powder and soft backcountry snow. That wider basket keeps the pole from sinking too far in soft conditions, though it is not the basket size typically used on hardpack or icy groomed terrain.
