Tèmi

Shop the new Tèmi all-gender down anorak hoody 800fp. Tèmi means “mine is” in the Yorùbá language. A reminder that what we make — and how we make it — matters. Their philosophy is People. Place. Purpose. People (1/3), by respecting skilled local labor through fair California living wages. Place (2/3), by making locally, showing the real work behind technical apparel, and honoring the environments and communities where our garments are made. Purpose (3/3), by embracing slow fashion — using natural fibers and recycled materials when possible, and creating fewer, better things with intention and care.

Tèmi began with a simple belief: knowing where your clothes come from — and who made them — matters.

Founded by Gabriel Patterson, PhD, a materials scientist, Tèmi is shaped by a life lived between everyday rhythms and the outdoors. Raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Gabriel grew up moving — through sports, music, desert trails, and mountain air — developing a deep respect for craft, place, and durability.

Tèmi was created to rebuild a more human relationship with clothing. By investing in skilled local labor, fair wages, and transparent, small-batch manufacturing, we create repairable, long-lasting garments built for everyday life and designed for adventure.

“I wanted to build clothing that carries the story of the people and places behind it. My aim is to rebuild and redefine this link between people, place, and purpose". — Gabriel Patterson.
